David Bromwich

David Bromwich is Housum Professor of English at Yale University. He has written extensively on romanticism and modern poetry, and his essays on politics and literature have appeared in the London Review of Books, the New Republic, and other journals. His books include Hazlitt: the Mind of a Critic, Disowned by Memory: Wordsworth's Poetry of the 1790's, and most recently Skeptical Music: Essays on Modern Poetry. An edition of Edmund Burke's speeches, On Empire, Liberty, and Reform, was published in 2000.
