Paul Berman 

Paul Berman is a political and cultural critic as well as a journalist. He is the author of A Tale of Two Utopias: The Political Journey of the Generation of 1968 and a children's book entitled Make-Believe Empire. He is also the editor of two readers: Blacks and Jews, and Debating P.C.: The Controversy Over Political Correctness on College Campuses.  Mr. Berman is a former MacArthur Fellow, Village Voice columnist, New Yorker staff writer, and contributor to The Nation Magazine. He was also a recent fellow of the New York Public Library’s Center For Scholars and Writers (1999-2000). He is currently a frequent contributor to such publications as The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, and The New Republic, to which he contributes a monthly column.
